We offer warm and empathetic support to help you have as empowering and positive a birth experience as possible.
We’ll meet for two preparatory sessions and stay in touch leading up to the birth for support and any questions. The doula is then on call and will be there to support you during the birth.

My name is Hanna Pauser, and I am the founder of Doulabyn.
I have been working as a doula for 5 years and have had the honor of attending approximately 60 births. I love working closely with people and helping families get a safe and empowering start to their new life together.
As a person, I am calm, warm, and caring. I will be by your side before and during childbirth as an experienced, competent, and empathetic support person.
I strive to be a source of support and relief for the partner as well, so that they can feel secure and relaxed during the birth and find their own natural way of offering support.

Our doula package includes:
- Two prenatal counseling sessions/preparation courses, each lasting 2 hours
- Support via text message, email, and phone during pregnancy
- Rental of a kit containing a TENS unit and a tie-on wheat pillow
- Backup doula
- Initial online consultation (approx. 1 hour)
- 24/7 on-call service starting 10 days before the due date until the baby is born
- Doula support during childbirth
- A follow-up visit at home

Preliminary interview
We’ll meet for two 2-hour preparatory sessions at your home or at Studio Liv in Abrahamsberg. You’ll receive a handout with information, and we’ll go over the following topics, among others:

- The Physiology and Stages of Childbirth
- The Role of the Partner/Support Person: Tools and Techniques
- Positions and movements that create space in the pelvis
- Breathing and relaxation techniques
- Massage techniques, pressure, and acupressure

The doula is available throughout your pregnancy to provide support, guidance, and answer questions via phone calls and a private text message group.
On-call duty begins 10 days before the due date and continues until the baby is born. During this time, we are available around the clock and ready to come when the time comes.
Backup doula
Together, we’ll select a backup doula, whom you’ll meet during a one-hour online session.
Your backup doula is there to provide extra peace of mind in case your regular doula becomes ill or to step in during a long labor.
Initial Consultation
When the on-call shift begins, we’ll meet for an online kick-off meeting that lasts about an hour to get on the same page ahead of the birth.
Support during childbirth
When labor begins, please let us know, and we’ll stay in touch through our text message group. Together, we’ll figure out the best time for the doula to arrive. Usually, we meet up when you’re heading to the hospital.
After that, the doula will be present throughout the entire birth as a reassuring, attentive, and experienced support person.
We provide ongoing physical and emotional support and offer guidance in relaxation and calm breathing, massage, acupressure, and natural pain relief.
We also share our expertise on how to support the physiology of childbirth and are there to offer support when you interact with the healthcare system.
The doula also provides support to the partner, helping them feel secure, involved, and relaxed in their role as a support person.
Follow-up discussion
After the birth, we’ll meet at your home for a follow-up conversation. You’ll have the chance to share your experience of the birth from start to finish, and we’ll reflect on it together.
We can also provide support with breastfeeding, sleep, and long-term recovery.
Investment
The price for the Doula Package: Safe Birth is 18,000 SEK.
The invoice is usually sent in two parts: Part 1 after the initial consultation and Part 2 after the birth.
Wellness benefits can be used, even by a partner.

Addition of postpartum support
The "Safe Birth" Doula Package includes a follow-up visit at home.
It is also possible to arrange for additional in-home support after the birth, either in advance or as needed.

What does a doula do during childbirth?
During childbirth, the doula will be by your side, providing practical, physical, and emotional support. Together, we’ll build a support team around you as you give birth.
For example, we can:

What are the roles of the doula and the partner?
Your partner and the doula form a support team around you as you give birth and take turns supporting one another. We are both your support persons, but with different roles.
Your partner is always the most important support person. They know the birthing person best and are often closest for security, closeness, and physical contact.
The doula is an experienced support person who uses their knowledge and experience to guide you toward relaxation, reduce pain, and contribute to as safe and positive an experience as possible.
The doula also supports the partner so that they feel secure and can find their natural way to support you.
When the woman in labor feels calmer and experiences less pain, it also becomes easier for her partner to be there for her and provide good support.
What happens if labor starts before the on-call shift begins?
If labor starts before the on-call shift begins, we’ll come anyway, and it won’t affect anything else
We’re usually in regular contact, so we usually get a sense that something’s in the works.
How do healthcare professionals treat you?
Doulas are now common in maternity wards in Stockholm and are viewed positively by the staff.
Midwives often express their appreciation for the calmer atmosphere in the room and the fact that our clients are well-prepared, which makes their work easier.
We always strive to build strong relationships and create a safe and close-knit team around you as you give birth.
When is the right time to book a doula?
It’s never too early or too late to book a doula. Most people book between about 12 and 32 weeks of pregnancy.
Since we have a limited number of spots, booking early usually increases your chances of us having a spot available around your due date.
If the due date is approaching, we’ll adjust our plan and try to start the preparations as soon as possible.

Some people choose to have one of the prenatal sessions at home and the other in the studio. In the studio, we can practice using equipment such as a birthing stool and a Pilates ball.
